Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, transfer across borders, and protect your personal data — explained honestly under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act, so you know exactly what your rights are
Our core business is customs brokerage, import & export logistics, and overseas market assessment, so we understand how sensitive client and cargo data can be. We collect and use your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (the “PDPA”), and this policy explains how we do it. Please read this policy carefully before using this website and our services. When you provide personal data or continue to use our services, you are deemed to have read and agreed to this policy.
01What personal data we collect
As necessary to provide our services, we may collect the following personal data:
(1) Data you provide directly
- Contact and identity data: name, company or business name, job title, phone number, email, LINE display name or ID, and mailing address.
- Business and customs data: product descriptions, quantity, volume and weight, declared value, HS codes (tariff classification), commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, consignor and consignee details, and any other documents required to handle import/export declaration, customs clearance and transport.
- Inquiry and transaction data: the quotes, requirements and correspondence you submit via our forms, email, LINE or phone.
(2) Data collected automatically when you use this website
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser and operating system type, device identifiers, pages viewed and time spent.
- Cookie and analytics data: de-identified or aggregated usage statistics collected through cookies and Google Analytics (GA4) (see Section 6).
02Purposes of collection
We collect, process and use your personal data for the following specified purposes (mapped to the “Specified Purposes and Categories of Personal Data under the Personal Data Protection Act” published by Taiwan's Ministry of Justice):
- O69 Contracts, quasi-contracts, or other legal relationships
- O63 Receiving, dispatch, postal and logistics services
- O82 Trade and import/export operations
- O90 Consumer, customer management and service
- O40 Marketing (including newsletters, events and promotional notices, within the scope of your consent)
- O67 Issuance and accounting of credit cards, cash cards, debit cards or other payment instruments (where payments are involved)
- O157 Surveys, statistics and research analysis (de-identified website usage analytics)
- O181 Other operations consistent with our registered business scope or articles of incorporation
Collection and use for the purpose of fulfilling legal obligations such as customs declaration, tax and accounting is carried out under Articles 19 and 20 of the PDPA and related regulations.
03Use, sharing & outsourcing
In the following circumstances, we may provide or disclose your personal data to third parties, limited to the minimum necessary to complete the service:
- Partners necessary for transport and clearance: customs authorities, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, trucking and warehousing providers, overseas agents and partner forwarders — as needed to complete the transport, customs declaration and delivery you have entrusted to us.
- Our overseas offices and affiliates: because our business spans Taiwan, mainland China and the United States, relevant data may flow among our offices in China, the U.S. and Taiwan to connect both-ends clearance and on-the-ground service.
- Service providers acting on our behalf: outsourced vendors for cloud hosting, IT systems, payments, email and website analytics, all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations and may process data only for the purposes and within the scope we direct.
- As required by law or competent authorities: to comply with the law, cooperate with lawful investigations by judicial or administrative authorities, or protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, you or third parties.
We do not sell your personal data, nor do we provide it to third parties for marketing purposes unrelated to the purposes stated above.
04Cross-border transfers
Given the nature of import/export operations, your personal data (especially consignor/consignee and customs-document data) may need to be transferred outside the Republic of China — including but not limited to mainland China, the United States, and the customs authorities, carriers and our overseas offices in the cargo's origin or destination countries — to complete transport and clearance. When carrying out international transfers, we take reasonable measures to safeguard data security. When you provide such data and entrust us to handle cross-border transport, you are deemed to consent to the overseas transfers necessary to perform that service.
05Period, region, recipients & method of use
- Period: we may retain and use your personal data for as long as the specified purpose of collection remains in effect, for the retention periods required by law (such as the Tax Collection Act, the Business Entity Accounting Act, and customs-related regulations), or for the period necessary for us to carry out our business; once that period expires or the purpose ceases, we will delete the data, stop processing it, or de-identify it in an appropriate manner, except where the law provides otherwise.
- Region: Taiwan, the locations of the Company's operations and our partners, and the cargo's origin and destination countries/regions (see Section 4).
- Recipients: the Company, the necessary partners and outsourced processors listed in Section 3, and authorities with lawful authority.
- Method: processing and use by automated or non-automated means, within the purposes and scope described above.
06Cookies & analytics tools
This website uses cookies and Google Analytics (GA4) to keep the site functioning, understand traffic, and improve the user experience. Cookies do not actively read files or personal data on your device; you can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may then not work properly. For how Google handles data, please refer to Google's privacy policy.
07Data security
We take technical and organizational security measures that are reasonable and proportionate to our business scale (such as access-permission controls, transmission encryption, and staff confidentiality obligations) to prevent personal data from being stolen, altered, damaged, lost or disclosed. However, no method of network transmission or storage can guarantee one hundred percent security; to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data breaches caused by circumstances not attributable to us. In the event of a significant personal-data incident, we will notify the affected individuals and the competent authorities as required by law.
08Your rights
Under Article 3 of the PDPA, with respect to the personal data we hold about you, you may exercise the following rights:
- inquire about or request to review it;
- request a copy;
- request to supplement or correct it;
- request that we stop collecting, processing or using it;
- request deletion.
You may contact us using the methods in Section 13 to exercise the above rights; we may, as permitted by law, act on your request after verifying your identity, and may charge the necessary cost of providing a copy. However, if your request would impede our compliance with legal obligations, would interfere with what is necessary to carry out our business, or would affect the significant interests of others, we may refuse it under the relevant provisions of the PDPA and explain our reasons. You may also refuse, at any time, to have us use your personal data for marketing purposes (for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter).
09Minors
Our services are aimed at the import/export needs of businesses and general consumers, not at minors. If you are under eighteen, you may provide personal data or use our services only after your legal guardian has read, understood and agreed to this policy.
10Third-party links & services
This website may provide links to third-party websites or tools (for example, our affiliated brand “LUFÉ,” the AI tariff tool “TradePilot,” or government and partner websites). Those websites have their own privacy policies, to which this policy does not apply; you should read each site's privacy terms separately before using it, and we are not responsible for their data-handling practices.
11Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy at any time in response to changes in the law, our business, or our service offerings, and will post the latest version on this website; the revised policy takes effect when posted, and we will not give separate individual notice. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay current. If you continue to use our services after a revision, you are deemed to agree to the revised policy.
12Governing law & jurisdiction
The interpretation and application of this policy, and any dispute over personal data between you and us, are governed by the laws of the Republic of China. In the event of litigation, unless the law mandates otherwise, the parties agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court shall be the court of first instance.
