AI Tool · TradePilot

Know your import duty before you commit — in 30 seconds

Enter the product, country of origin and value. AI classifies the HS code and works out eight import taxes plus your real landed cost — with the formulas and legal sources behind them. Free, no sign-up.

Misclassify one HS code, and the whole batch's margin is a gamble

How much duty you owe on an import comes down to three things — which HS code the goods fall under, what the rate is, and how business tax stacks on top. Checking it yourself is fiddly, and get the cost wrong and you can't price properly. TradePilot uses AI to run all of it in one pass — a free tool from Jumping Freight, for cross-border online shoppers and commercial importers alike.

What this tool works out for you

01

AI HS code classification

Enter the product and AI classifies the HS code with a confidence score — use it directly when confidence is high, and when it's low you're prompted to get a specialist to double-check, so you don't misclassify without knowing it

02

All eight import taxes, in full

Customs duty, business tax, commodity tax and the rest — all eight worked out in one go, nothing missed, giving you the real landed cost with taxes included

03

Taiwan customs rates × the real exchange rate

Rates come from the Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, and the exchange rate is the customs declaration rate (not the bank's floating rate), so the result tracks what you'll actually be assessed

04

Formulas and sources, all transparent

Every tax line comes with the formula and the regulation behind it, so you can see how the number was reached — not just handed a figure you can't unpack

How it works, in three steps

Enter the product, origin and value

Describe your goods in plain language (for example, “wireless Bluetooth earbuds, from China, value USD 2,000”) — no need to know the HS code first

AI classifies the code and pulls the rate

AI reads off the matching HS code and applicable rate, and flags how confident this classification is

See the eight taxes and your landed cost

It shows the breakdown of customs duty, business tax and the other lines, plus the total cost with taxes — with formulas and sources, ready to take into a quote

Who it's for

Cross-border online shoppers

Know first whether you'll be taxed, and how much

Run the numbers before you check out on Taobao, Shopee or any overseas store, so a tax bill doesn't catch you off guard when the goods arrive — and you can judge whether to consolidate

Commercial importers

Pin down landed cost before you quote

Work out the tax-inclusive landed cost before you buy, quote and set your margin, so taxes appearing after the fact don't eat into profit — hand high-volume or complex classification over to Jumping Freight's customs brokerage

Let AI run the numbers, let the broker handle the clearance

TradePilot gets you a fast estimate; Jumping Freight sees it through

Use AI for a quick estimate; when it's time for formal clearance, a complex classification, or a customs inspection, a 43-year customs-brokerage family handles it hands-on. TradePilot is an AI tool from Jumping Freight — one team, each handling its part

A few things to get straight about the AI Tariff Calculator

What is an HS code? How many digits?

An HS code is the internationally standard tariff classification number that decides the duty rate and import rules a shipment falls under. The first 6 digits are consistent worldwide; Taiwan extends them to 11. Which code your goods land under directly affects how much tax you owe — even whether you can import at all — so classification is the single most critical step in importing.

Is the AI classification accurate? Can I file customs with it directly?

AI classification is an excellent tool for a quick read and estimate, and it flags how confident it is — but it's an aid, not the basis for formal clearance. Actual duties and taxes are as assessed by Customs. When confidence is low, the item is unusual, or the value is high, we recommend handing the classification to Jumping Freight's customs-brokerage family to double-check, so a misclassification doesn't lead to back-tax or a returned shipment.

Can I use the result as a formal quote?

It's a reliable reference for working out cost and making decisions, and the numbers track what you'll actually be assessed. But formal clearance is still as assessed by Customs, and landed cost also has to fold in freight, fees and the like. For a complete all-in quote, message us on LINE and we'll put one together.

Is it free? Do I need to sign up?

Free, no sign-up, no need to leave your number to run it. Once you've run it and want formal clearance or a full quote, message us on LINE and a real person takes it from there.

How does this tool relate to Jumping Freight's clearance service?
