About Jumping Freight

A customs-brokerage family, 43 years hands-on at the front line of Taiwan's trade

We grew up on the customs floor, so we know exactly where Taiwan's importers and exporters get stuck. From customs declaration and clearance to delivery at your door, a real person watches your cargo every step of the way — and when you're ready to take a brand overseas, we'll tell you up front whether it's even worth it

Every entry, every batch that got held up — it all gets handled at this desk.

What the customs floor teaches you isn't in any textbook — which goods get held, which document gets a shipment rejected, how to classify an HS code so it clears clean. That front-line judgment now goes straight into every shipment of yours: a member of the brokerage family watches it personally, from declaration and booking to clearance and delivery, with nothing sub-contracted out — so if something goes wrong, there's someone accountable to call.

Jumping Freight didn't start in an office — it started on the customs floor

Aaron Yu and his family grew up inside a customs brokerage, watching the older generation work through entry after entry and pull a held-up batch back out of trouble. The fine points of import and export were something we absorbed from childhood, not something we learned later on.

Spend enough time on the front line and you learn exactly where Taiwan's businesses get caught: a whole batch rejected over the wrong HS classification, margin lost to a middleman because you didn't know the process, wanting to expand overseas but not knowing whether it's worth it. These aren't textbook cases — they're things we watch happen firsthand, every day.

So we built Jumping Freight — taking forty-odd years of customs expertise and adding market assessment and online tools, extending from "we'll classify it right and get it delivered" to "we'll help you decide whether to expand at all, and which route costs you the least." One family, from the entry form to the overseas market — with you the whole way.

Market assessment discussion: mapping out a target market's competition, channels, regulations and freight cost structure before committing
Map the market out before you commit — competition, channels, regulations, freight cost structure: the first step in walking the road with you.

We read the market with you first, then get your cargo there

Plenty of logistics companies will tell you "we'll move your freight." But what really keeps a business up at night is "is this market even worth entering?"

Our approach: first we map the market out for you, free — competition, channels, regulations, the freight cost structure — and that's how we get to know each other. Once you decide to go ahead, the first-leg freight, clearance, overseas warehousing and returns handling that follow are the long-term work we do best.

Assessing first, then walking the road with you over the long haul — that's what makes our relationship with clients more than a one-off customs job. It makes us a partner who stays the course.

How we read this industry

We don't chase coverage, but when a tariff, customs or logistics issue is worth weighing in on, we offer a view from the front line. Some of these topics have drawn interest from trade press too — but more than "being in the news," we care whether a perspective actually helps your business.
